Building Construction Tour: Residences on Lincoln Square

  • 17 Mar 2026
  • 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
  • 2 Grove Street Worcester, MA (Construction Site)

You’ve been driving past it for months – the big construction site at the old Boy’s Club in Worcester Square, wondering what it’s going to be. Graphics on the fencing let you know that this $50 million project will deliver 80 new apartments for residents aged 55 and older in the greater Worcester area, but wouldn’t you love a private tour to see the construction and hear about the challenges?

The Residences on Lincoln Square project will renovate a century-old 46,000-sf building into 16 apartments, along with a fitness center, community space, and leasing office, with another 64 apartments in a new 65,000-sf building. Notably, this development represents the first air rights project in the City of Worcester, as the new building will be constructed above the existing Ernest E. Johnson Tunnel, which connects Salisbury Street to Main Street and downtown Worcester. The project is also being designed to Passive House standards, with a strong emphasis on the building envelope—walls, windows, and roof to maximize energy efficiency.

Thie program will be presented by Michael Dupuis, Vice President of Operations at F.W. Madigan Company Inc., which he joined in 2023. A graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst, Michael brings more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry.
