Join us for an engaging evening exploring how high-performance residential design can deliver healthier, more durable, and lower-carbon homes—and why these outcomes are still not the norm.

This event combines a professional lecture with a curated, salon-style discussion over food and drinks, bringing together architects, educators, and students for candid conversation.

Lecture | 5:00–6:00 PM

Noah Fitch, Architect
Zero Energy Design (ZED)

High-performance design and construction responds to the building industry s need for buildings that are healthier, more comfortable, long-lasting, and environmentally responsible. In this lecture, Noah Fitch will share methods and principles for designing and constructing high-performance homes, drawing from professional practice and award-winning projects. Topics include fundamental building science, integrated design strategies, and the importance of detailing, craftsmanship, and on-site verification.

Curated Salon-Style Discussion | 6:00–7:00 PM

Food & drinks provided

Following the lecture, participants are invited to stay for a curated, salon-style discussion led by Design Veritas, Program Curator & Discussion Lead. This conversation is intentionally designed to bridge building science, professional practice, and lived human experience.

Together, we ll explore a central question:
If we know better… why arent we building better?
